Fox Home Services installs new stair treads and risers over existing stringers, or builds fresh from scratch. We also install LVP stair nosing and cladding to match new flooring throughout the home — one of the most common stair upgrades we do after a flooring install.

Free Estimate
We assess the existing stair structure, discuss material options and finish preferences, and give you a clear quote.

Demo & Prep
Existing carpet, treads, or risers are removed. The stringer condition is assessed and any structural issues are addressed first.

Install
New treads and risers are installed, secured properly, and checked for squeaks. Nosing and transitions are fitted.

Finishing
Paint, trim, railings, and final details. Stairs are clean and ready to use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you clad over my existing stairs without a full rebuild?
In most cases yes — if the existing stringers are structurally sound, we can install new treads and risers directly over them. This is the most cost-effective approach and gives great results.
How do you fix squeaky stairs?
Squeaks come from movement between the tread and riser or between the tread and stringer. We secure everything with construction adhesive and proper fasteners — not just a few nails which is a common shortcut.
Can you match my new LVP flooring on the stairs?
Yes. We install LVP stair nosing and cladding to match the flooring throughout the rest of your home — it's one of the most common upgrades we do after a flooring installation.
Do you replace railings?
Yes — railing repair, reinforcement, and full replacement is part of our stair work. We can replace balusters, handrails, and newel posts.
What affects the scope of a stair renovation?
The number of stairs, existing stringer condition, material choice, and whether railings are being replaced all affect the scope. We assess everything at the estimate stage and give you a clear plan before work begins.
